Vina Salort Albarino
Uruguayan wines have unique qualities given the country’s privileged geographical location, climate, and soil diversity. Positive influence of the sea moderates the temperatures during the hottest months of the year, granting Uruguayan wines with a particularly refined touch. Canelones is the epicentre of the Uruguayan wine industry. Running from the north-west of the capital Montevideo, the area runs in an arc to the Atlantic coast east of the city and is responsible for around 60% of Uruguay’s total production. The moderate coastal climate really suits many international varietals such as Albarino.
Vineyards/Blend: 90% Albarino, 10% Chardonnay. Sustainable and traditional agricultural techniques. Grapes are hand-harvested.
