Tasting Note – Aromas of black and red currant follow through onto the silky palate that is enhanced by a dash of pepper and warm spice.
Blend – 60% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 8% Carignan, 2% Mourvedre
Wine-making: Low temperature fermentation for around 15 days followed by light pressing gives the wine fruitiness and elegance. No fining, one racking only and very ‘small’ filtration when bottling early, to preserve character, texture and flavour
FOOD MATCH: Red meats like lamb, antipasto, pasta and all sorts of cheese.
