This succulent Pinot Noir has aromas of spice, currant and dark Ghana chocolate. A juicy cherry mouthfeel matches perfectly with the grippy bitterness of the dark cocoa. A long and luxurious feel on the palate will remind you of your favourite cherry jam colliding with that warm dark cup of black tea.
Family roots run deep. Allan Scott planted some of the Marlborough’s most famous vineyards, including the very first, and has worked here every vintage since. Great wine is made in the vineyards by ensuring top quality fruit is delivered at harvest at peak ripeness and with great flavour.
Within Marlborough, the Rapaura area along the northern edge of the Wairau Valley has become particularly prized. This is where the family established their vineyards, all in close proximity to the winery.
Launching Allan Scott 25 years ago, the business has evolved to include all of the family, son Josh as Chief Winemaker, daughters Victoria in Marketing and Sara as Viticulturalist. A great family making truly great wines.
