The juice of the Valpolicella Classico is ‘re-passed’ (Ripasso) over the pressed grapes of the more superior Amarone wine - the top level wine produced in the same region - which gives the intensity of the fruit concentration a real boost without adding too much in the way of body or tannin.

This Valpolicella Ripasso is made with grapes grown in the Valpolicella Classico area.    

Grapes - 70% Corvina, 15% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella

Tasting Note - Perfumed, complex, bags of rich red fruits, vinous and spicy.   Full bodied yet velvet smooth with well balanced tannins and acidity.

Cantina Valpolicella Negrar is a co-operative of 230 members located just a few kilometres from Verona, near Lake Garda.   Since 1933, its story has been one of people dedicated to the production of quality wines showing a true and sincere expression of their region.   A wealth 600 hectares of vineyards spread across cultivated by the members regularly supervised the Cantina’s professional team.  The philosophy of the group is to rediscover the winemaking traditions of the area, giving wines of unique local characteristics expressed in a modern style.
