Costieres de Nimes Chateau Oustau Saint Andre
In Jean-Claude Mas' inimitable way, he took this estate under his wing and carefully protected the local terroir while putting the popular yet firm Domaine Paul Mas stamp on the style.
Costieres de Nimes holds a perception of sitting in the eastern Languedoc but in truth, sits on the western edge of the Southern Rhone found only marginally south west of Avignon.
Vineyard/Grape Varieties: Mediterranean climate with big temperature variations between day and night. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre. Selection made by plot
Winery: Temperature-controlled fermentation. Long maceration, 2 to 3 weeks, for optimal extraction of aromas and polyphenols. After malolactic fermentation, 40% of the cuvée is aged in American (70%) and French (30%) oak barrels for 6 months
VINTAGES: Our images may not reflect current vintages. We list vintages for premium wines only on our website. We endeavour to keep these details up to date but occasionally our warehouse may have "moved on" to a newer vintage and we may not have updated the website. If you are looking for a specific vintage, please contact us before ordering so that we can check our current stocks.
