Bourgogne Chardonnay 'Clos de la Chapelle', Domaine Romy
Domaine Romy is a 30ha property located in the premium Beaujolais winegrowing area known as ‘Les Pierres Dorées’, named after the golden colour of the granite stones found in the vineyards. The tradition of winemaking in the family goes as far as 1700’s. Nicolas Romy and his father Dominique take a natural, hands-off approach to the cultivation of the vines grown in their Terra Vitis certified vinyeards, creating wines that are a true expression of the terroir. This Chardonnay is made from vines located on Morancé hill.
A Chardonnay with lovely fragrant notes and exceptional fruit definition makes this a decidedly delicious white....perhaps not big in name but quite a serious mouthful.
