Description
Opulent red and blue fruit aromas with a hint of wood smoke. Medium bodied, the Shiraz in the blend provides palate weight, dark fruit, subtle pepper and other exotic spices. The Mourvèdre adds red fruit and earthy truffles, while the Viognier helps to soften the wine and heightens the aromatics.
VONDELING traces its origins back to 1704 when the land was first granted to Swedish immigrant Oloff Bergh by Governor Van Der Stel. Situated between Wellington and Paarl on the slopes of the breathtaking Paardeberg Mountain. The farm was bought by the Armajaro Group in 2002, at which point they embarked on a major reconstruction programme which included extensive replanting and the installation of a state of the art winery. The result is a collection of which five wines have four or more stars from the Platter’s South African wine Guide. They have also received excellent reviews from Robert Parker.
This wine is produced and labelled as Vegan Friendly.
