We love the sleek and lithe style that Salta’s altitude lends to this wine, mind….it is certainly not shy of intensity or concentration

Description

Finca Quara wines are produced by Felix Lavaque who boast a 140 year history and 5 generations of winemakers.  They were the first to plant noble vines in Cafayate, Salta – location of the highest altitude vineyards in the world!

VINIFICATION: Cold maceration for 48 hours at 5°C, and then fermentation with selected yeasts at a controlled-temperature between 24° and 26°C, for 10 days. During this process, two daily remontages and one delestage took place in order to have an even colour and structure. Total maceration for 3 weeks with a period of malolactic fermentation

VEGETARIAN

An intense ruby red, this fruity Malbec has red cherry and herby aromas.  With notes of plum and cherries and a hint of pepper and spice on the palate it is a very balanced and harmonious Malbec with sweet and rounded tannins

FOOD MATCH: Simply fantastic with beef, herb crusted lamb and cheese dishes
