Paxton’s home of McLaren Vale, 40 kilometres south of Adelaide, is known as ‘Sea & Vines’ which perfectly describes the essence of its favourable geographic location in the Gulf of St Vincent; its unique terroir soils, the winds, temperate, and mediterranean climate. All of these unique factors are at the core of why the region’s vineyards produce such high quality premium grapes.
Their mission is to produce and showcase the region’s fruit quality, varietal expression and natural diversity, particularly with Shiraz, which is now well recognised as the region’s top performing variety.
Paxton believe biodynamics is the most advanced form of organic farming. It uses natural preparations and composts to bring the soil and vine into balance, resulting in exceptionally pure and expressive fruit.
NOW by PAXTON stands for NATURAL ORGANIC WINE. The consumer market demand has been growing steadily for Preservative Free/Natural wines. As leaders in organic production, it was obvious that Paxton needed a product for this category. In addition to Natural, PF & Organic, we wanted to make a young, drink NOW style shiraz that was different from our existing Shiraz styles.
AROMA: An explosion of berries form the forest highlighted with raspberries, strawberries, mulberries and plums.
PALATE: Medium bodied drink “NOW’ style of wine, bright and fresh red berry fruits followed by a fantastic mid palate packed full of vibrant layers of fruit intensity and topped off with silky tannins and a velvet finish.
