From: £2550

As expected of Mercurey Rouge, solid fruit and filling in the mouth, very good value in  the context of Burgundy as a whole.

important wine appellations of Burgundy.  Producing both red and white wines on a mix of clay, limestone and mark soils.

Vinification: Harvest by hand. Traditional vinification in thermo-regulated vats. Cold pre-fermentation maceration, temperature control, long vatting during which punching down and pumping over are carried out optimally. Aging in oak barrels for between 8 and 12 months.

Tasting Note: Pleasantly harmonious and relative fullness in the mouth,   the palate is dominated by small black autumnal fruits punctuated with a touch of gentle herbal spice.
