Excellent example of a modern interpretation of classic Alentejo wine that sings for the ‘international’ market


Founded in 1973, Esporão owns and manages vineyards in Alentejo, Douro and Vinho Verde. Their own vineyards cover over 637ha but also work closely with long-term contract growers,  Strong believers in biodiversity, all vineyards are surrounded by natural, wild areas, supporting organic farming and encouraging nature and wildlife to thrive.

With a contemporary style and an elegant and intense profile, this wine shows the character of selected and well-defined plots on the Estate.

Winemaking: 50% Touriga Nacional/50% Syrah.  Each variety is harvested separately, de-stemmed, crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Naturally occuring malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting note: Intense berry and red plum aromas, with some notes of fresh woods. On the palate the wine is rich and intense, with a vibrant texture and a long and balanced finish.
