Description
Château la Tuilerie du Puy covers more than 80 hectares of vineyards in the largest wine region of Bordeaux, Entre-Deux-Mers. A family property since 1616, it was in 1979,that Jean-Pierre Regaud continued his father’s work and immediately began an ambitious project: equipping the Château with a modern winery, fully equipped with stainless steel vats and the latest innovations, including temperature control. Michel Regaud took over the reins in 1996.
Vineyard & Winemaking – The Regaud family are fervent supporters of the “Entre-Deux-Mers” appellation and try to defend and respect its values. For them, it is essential that the 3 principal grape varieties (Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle) are present in the blend as a proof of quality and authenticity.
The grapes, harvest plot by plot, are picked, sorted out and pressed, then there is a maceration of 24 to 48 hours, and put directly into separate stainless steel vats for a fermentation at low temperature.
Tasting Note – A wonderful combination of some exciting fruits like pineapple, grapefruit and apricot with the essential lifted and fresh core of the wine.
