Our T&C terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

www.addisonwines.com takes steps to ensure that any potential threats to your personal details are minimised. We will not share or sell the details that you have disclosed to us with any third parties unless we are required to do so by law.

Whilst we have endeavoured to ensure the accuracy of the information on the site, we cannot guarantee or give any warranty as to the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of any information or material on the website. Prices and specifications can change without notice and products are subject to availability.

All Prices are in pounds sterling £ (GB Pounds) duty paid and include VAT at the current UK rate, delivery is an additional charge.

None of the above affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

HOW DOES MY ORDER HAPPEN?

Minimum Legal Age

We may only sell alcohol products to those over the age of 18. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and the minimum legal age for purchasing alcohol products in your country of residence.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Payment can be made by debit or credit card online securely via Barclaycards ePDQ secure server.  Addisonwines.com does not hold your card details.

What exactly happens after ordering?

Once an order is placed, an automatic email response is generated, letting you know that your order has reached us securely and confirming the order details. If there are any errors please contact us so that we can amend the order before despatch.

Can I add to my order after checkout?

It’s best to email or phone as soon as you realise you’ve missed a little something off your order. If possible, we will add the item before despatch. You won’t be able to amend your original order via our website.

If your initial order has already been despatched, you will need to put a second order through our website. However, if you place more than one order on the same day, you will only pay delivery for one.

Stock and vintage guarantees

We perform regular stock checks. However, if stocks are low there can occasionally be a discrepancy. We will advise a customer if an ordered item is out of stock as soon as it comes to our attention. In these incidences we will offer a full refund or discuss substituting the item for something of the same or greater value.

Out of Stock Items

For any items ordered which are out of stock, we will contact you by phone or email to advise a likely delivery date.

Special offers

Discounts and Special Offers are made available only whilst stocks last and may be withdrawn at any time, without notice. Voucher codes are only valid for a limited period and only one may be redeemed against any one order.

Our website uses the latest security technology to ensure your privacy is protected at all times.

All payments are processed by Barclays Bank plc, who process all of the debit and credit card payments on our behalf. You will leave the site whilst taking the payment for your order but will be returned to the website on successful completion of your payment. On receipt of a successful payment you will receive confirmation that you order has been placed, with a unique tracking identifier to allow tracking of your order.

To discuss your order or if you would prefer to order offline, please call our office on 01952 686500 and place the order over the phone. Our phones are manned from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12noon on Saturday.  Alternatively please email sales@addisonwines.com (but do not email your card payment details to us).

Why do you ask for my contact details?

We will collect some personal information from you when logging in/registering for the first time.  This information is collected so that we can deliver any products ordered online.

We will need to contact you if there are any issues with your order.

We also email our customers with the latest promotions and offers. But rest assured – we will NEVER pass your contact details on to anyone else.

What else do you know about me?

In order to serve our customers to the best of our ability, we will hold records of any previous purchases and email correspondence regarding any orders or customer service.

By registering on the website we will contact you about promotions in the future. If you’d prefer we didn’t, opting out is easy.  Just email sales@addisonwines.com .  Alternatively, click the unsubscribe button on one of our marketing emails.

What do you use my Data for?

As already confirmed, the data we hold for our customers is only used by Addison Wines for internal purposes. We are committed to offering the best service we can, including:

  • Fulfilling orders and maintaining customer accounts
  • Ensuring marketing is customised to minimise the amount of emails sent to each customer

  • Ensuring you receive timely emails regarding new products and special offers

What can I do to increase security?

It is important to us that your shopping experience with Addison Wines is as safe and secure as possible. As such we take precautionary steps.

However we also recommend you take the following steps to increase security.

  • Always close down your Internet browser when you have finished shopping online, particularly if you are shopping using a public or shared PC.
  • Never reveal your password to others
  • Keep your password as unique as possible and never reveal it to others
  • Avoid using the same password for multiple online sites

DELIVERY & RETURNS

What are the delivery charges for orders from the Online Shop?

Delivery charges start from £7.95 to mainland UK addresses.

How long will delivery take?

Items in stock are normally dispatched within 48 hours of order confirmation.  Delivery is via overnight carrier service (Monday to Friday).  Please allow slightly longer during busy periods. If we are unable to despatch the order in 5 working days we will contact you with an updated delivery date.

Goods checks

Goods must be checked on delivery and damages/shortages must be reported within 48hours of delivery.

If the goods delivered are damaged or incorrect, please contact Customer Services 01952 686500 or email sales@addisonwines.com .

Carrier deliveries

You will undertake to ensure that all deliveries are taken by person/s aged 18 or over.

POD (Proof of delivery). A signature is required on delivery.  A card will be left to acknowledge the delivery unless specific delivery instructions are given at the checkout stage to leave the parcels unsigned for in a secure place. The order is left at your own risk.

Our couriers will make every attempt to deliver your parcel and if you/your recipient is not at home, they will try your immediate neighbours unless otherwise notified. Thereafter, you/your recipient will need to make arrangements with the courier to make a further attempt of delivery. Goods may also be collected from your local APC approved depot who will hold the goods for a further 5 working days, before returning them to us.

Should the goods ordered be returned because the couriers have failed to deliver despite all reasonable attempts including a telephone number given for the recipient or any further helpful information, we will either credit you in full for the goods less the delivery charge, or re-despatch on your instruction where the re-delivery cost will be charged against your account.

You must ensure that any specific courier instructions given are correct, and that the information provided, ensures a safe and accurate delivery. Addisonwines.com cannot be liable for order / delivery discrepancies if incorrect information has been given.

We recommend:

  • Using a work address if possible.
  • Contacting your local courier depot as soon as you receive a delivery card.

Addisonwines.com shall have no liability for any failure to deliver goods that have been ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.  We are are unable to deliver to PO Box numbers.

Returns & Refunds

Please return unwanted goods for refund within 14 days of receipt. Please obtain proof of despatch and allow 14 days for any returns to be processed. We will not be considered responsible for goods in transit.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept exchanges on goods we consider damaged or used (although your statutory rights are not affected).

In line with regulations, if you cancel your entire order within 14 days of receipt, we will refund the original cost of standard delivery. However you will need to pay to return the goods to us.

If an item proves to be faulty, we will refund the cost of return postage.
