Deen Series Vat 7 Chardonnay, De Bortoli Wines

VINEYARDS: 82% Riverina, 12% Tumbarumba, 6% King Valley 75% Estate grown fruit. De Bortoli Nericon block planted in late 90’s and De Bortoli vineyard in King Valley planted early 2000’s. Coppabella Vineyard Tumbarumba planted 1993. 

The Deen Vat Series: The inspiration for the Vat Series came from the early days when Deen De Bortoli would personally chalk numbers on the vats to mark them out. Vat is the term adopted by early Australian winemakers for the large vessels used to hold the maturing wine before it was ready for bottling.

The Deen Series honours the late Deen De Bortoli whose outstanding character and refreshingly down to earth qualities are reflected in the wines that bear his name. The wines are highly regarded by consumers and wine writers alike for their honesty and value.
