Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits Rouge, Domaine Saint Saturnin de Vergy
Vineyards: The Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits overlooks the Côte de Nuits to the west of the woods of Corton above Gevrey-Chambertin. The vineyards are located between 300 and 400 meters above sea level.
Vinification: Mechanical harvest. Traditional vinification in thermoregulated stainless steel. Pre-fermentation - temperature controlled cold maceration. Long fermentation during which pigeages and pumping over are performed.
Aged on fine lees for 10 months in oak barrels used between 1 and 5 times.
Tasting Note: Elegant red fruits dominant the nose and palate, good aromatics with underlying fine tannin providing a balanced structure. Good with white meats such as rabbit and juicy poultry like duck.
VINTAGES: Our images may not reflect current vintages. We list vintages for premium wines only on our website. We endeavour to keep these details up to date but occasionally our warehouse may have "moved on" to a newer vintage and we may not have updated the website. If you are looking for a specific vintage, please contact us before ordering so that we can check our current stocks.
